The farmer of today is increasingly mindful of finding safer and more efficient ways of operating, of reducing effort, and increasing effectiveness.  In other words, he must work smarter, not harder.

The effort of moving and positioning grain augers, and of increasing or reducing their height is a typical situation that involves strain and risk, and yet is a frequent and necessary task many farmers are faced with.

Problem resolved. There’s now a smarter, safer way.

Grainline has developed the new Hydraulic Wheel Drive-and-Lift System, which allows the operator to control all auger functions, to raise and lower its height, and to maneuver and drive the auger, all managed by simple fingertip control.  No more straining, and lifting, and heavy manual labour.

The auger is propelled by a large, deep-grooved, lug tyre on the third wheel which gives a positive grip and provides gentle smooth control.  By hydraulically steering this drive wheel, accurate and effortless positioning is now achieved by operating a single multi-valve joystick.  A back-breaking task has now become a simple and pleasant operation from a safe, central location.

The Grainline Hydraulic Drive Lift System is standard on 50 (15.24m), 56 (17m), and 65 ft (19.8m) x 10” (255mm) augers, because of their size and weight, but is optional on any smaller petrol-driven Grainline auger which has a third wheel assembly.  This feature can also be retrofitted to existing Grainline Augers without any necessity for engine or gearbox upgrades.
