Winter Farm Food

It's Winter and whilst it's cold outside it’s the perfect time to sit by a warm fire and try some delicious winter warmers!

We have put together a list of our favourites and we hope you will enjoy it! 

We recommend starting the day with a hot breakfast. Try a good pot of home-brewed coffee or if you’re more of a tea drinker try some Tasmanian loose-leaf herbal tea. Accompany with a big breakfast! One of our favourites is a slice of crusty home-made bread with poached egg and bacon. Be sure to use home laid eggs and if possible double yokers!

Lunch should be hearty and warming. A good old-fashioned vegetable or pumpkin soup should do the trick or if you're looking for something quick try a vegetable pizza. A good accompaniment is a glass of classic Chardonnay. If your one for pudding try a basic chocolate self-saucing. Its yummy and foolproof.

For Dinner crank up the oven and bake a chicken and potato medley or if you don’t enjoy chicken substitute for some pulled pork or slow-cooked beef. Oven cook your potato and vegetables with fresh spices and don’t forget to invite your friends. There is nothing like friends to make winter that little bit warmer. Top of with an Apple and walnut tea loaf for pudding, serve with lashings of custard and cream.
